After several miles on roads I wore these shoes on the trail and they got wet and muddy. I hosed them off and let them air dry. Now they both squeak and the glue that holds the insides together is oozing out so the sides of the shoes are sticky. Neither of these issues affects the performance of the shoe; just an irritant listening to the squeaking. The shoes perform well on the trails on wet moss and squee but seem to not grip the wet asphalt roads as well as my regular running shoes; Saucony Hurricane or Omni's. I use SOLE heatable inserts in all of my running shoes and these shoes accomodate them without reducing the volume of the foot space in the shoes.
