After wearing hiking boots for the first few hundred miles of the Pacific Crest Trail I had blisters beyond belief. I started looking for a more airy hiking shoe and after a few tries, found the exit aeros and hiked the remaining couple thousand miles in them. I love them! After several miles on roads I wore these shoes on the trail and they got wet and muddy. I hosed them off and let them air dry. Now they both squeak and the glue that holds the insides together is oozing out so the sides of the shoes are sticky. Neither of these issues affects the performance of the shoe; just an irritant listening to the squeaking. The shoes perform well on the trails on wet moss and squee but seem to not grip the wet asphalt roads as well as my regular running shoes; Saucony Hurricane or Omni's. I use SOLE heatable inserts in all of my running shoes and these shoes accomodate them without reducing the volume of the foot space in the shoes.

After recent hammertoe surgery, I needed to go to a special event, not black tie, but dressy I had just transitioned into sneakers, but certainly wanted something nicer than that or my surgical boot. So I decided to merge the two concepts of a solid walking base with velcro closures. I knew Clark and Merrell both made good sandals, and these in black seemed to look like the nicest option. Not only were they incredibly comfortable (even after walking many blocks in NYC with them), but the black ones were very luxe looking and worked perfectly with my long black dress. I'm wearing them now in the fall with black socks and pants, and will really look forward to wearing them next summer, even after my toes heal.

After developing some foot problems, I got this shoe in gray and brown...the brown is especially nice, with a bronze shade to it. For a short person like me, I got a lot of height with ease - this shoe is so comfy, no break-in required. The footbed is so soft, and since there's height at the front as well as the heel, there isn't a lot of pressure on the ball of the foot. And I have toe troubles, and this shoe gave my spreading toes plenty of room in a discreet way. Excellent buy.

After a few weeks, me and my Birkies, we are getting along quite fine. If you buy Birkenstocks, you have to keep in mind that you'll have them for years. Adorable shoes. I think someone has complimented them every time he has worn them. They did run really big so I had to return and get the next size down. I read the reviews but didn't believe they were really running a FULL size bigger. He wore a size 8 last fall so I bought a 9 thinking they would just be a little big. The 8 is a 9. Adorable! I totally agree with all the other reviewers. My feet are wide, but I have skinny legs. These shoes make my feet look absolutely slender and tiny! I haven't worn them yet, but they do feel very comfortable. They are lightweight, so wearing them for long periods of time shouldn't be too bad!

Adorable, but not indestructible boots - This is our 4th pair of Western Firechief boots. Our son loves them so much we just got the first pair bronzed. They are great for the rain, but don't hold up to the every day use that our son has put them through. I'm sure if used as intended they would hold up great.

Acorn Slipper Sock - These are warm and cozy slipper socks - for the leg and ankle as well. The only problem is that the socks seem to stretch and make the slipper feel very loose. I just washed them and I am not sure I was supposed to do that. They turned out well, but are still damp. The top slipper part shrank. We will see if that helps the fit.

A really good shoe - This is an outstanding loafer. It makes going through airport security simple - slips on and off with hardly any effort. I am a factory rep; I wanted a shoe that looked good when meeting with customers but was also durable and comfortable when I had to work on the plant floor for hours on end. A MOST WONDER SLIPPER! I purchased these slippers with the greatest hope that they would indeed fit! Unfortunately, the width was a problem, I tried them on and I just wanted them to fit in the worst way! Not so, they are too narrow for me. I had worn them one day, so I was unable to send them back. I really need a 3/4 www, size. I wanted them in the worst way, and I kept them even though they are to narrow. I just wish that they could offer more selections for those of us, who TRULY NEED A WIDER FIT SHOE/SLIPPER!! A Great Walking Shoe - I am an old (77yrs) fitness walker who walks about 10-15 miles per week. When I was younger I ran in numerous half-marathons but as I, and my joints aged I had to switch to walking. For years I walked in Asics running shoes. They did fine until recently when I started needing more cushioning and support. The lighter weight of running shoes is not important to me anymore. A friend of mine recommended a high price New Balance walking shoe (926) so I tried them. While thses shoes gave me the cushioning that I wanted they were extremely heavy. I then learned that Asics has a walking shoe, the Gel Foundation Walker, so I bought a pair. These are wonderful shoes and provide great support and cushioning and are not heavy. I would recommend these shoes to any recreational or serious walker. Like all Asics shoes you should buy one-half size larger than your normal size. I was so impressed with the comfort of these shoes I just bought another pair (in black) for everyday use. These shoes use spEVA for cushioning just like Asics used to use in their running shoes. Asics has switched to using SoLyte in their running shoes as it is lighter than spEVA but it does not provide the same level of cushioning in my opinion. I hope Asics does not switch to SoLyte in their walking shoe. If they do I would have to reevaluate my position on this recommendation. I hope Asics reads this review.

A great second pair! I bought these as my "second pair" of Mephisto sandals. I own the Shark, which is more of an athletic, all-terrain, and I wanted something that would be still as nice looking, but also with the comfort of a slip on. These are perfect. Comfortable, strong, well made, with the most interesting form of the sole; sloping perfectly with the foot. Much less money than the Shark, and a perfect complement to it. Enjoy!

A classic shoe for northern climates - OK, first off, I ordered these shoes at 8p.m. and had them at my door by noon the next day...kudos Logohoo for amazing service.
